Mataṅga–Gardabhī Itihāsa
Nandīśvarasya mūrti tu dṛṣṭvā mucyeta kilbiṣaiḥ | svargamārge naraḥ snātvā brahmalokaṃ sa gacchati ||
The verse teaches that sacred encounter (darśana of a revered divine form) and ritual purification (bathing at a holy tīrtha) are portrayed as powerful means for removing moral taint (kilbiṣa) and for attaining an exalted spiritual destination (Brahmaloka).
Ajaḍriya is describing the merit (phala) of specific sacred acts connected with a holy site: seeing the image of Nandīśvara and bathing at a place called ‘Svargamārga,’ with the promised result of freedom from sins and ascent to Brahmaloka.
