काम्यया पृष्टवांस्त्वं मां ततो व्याह्मतमुत्तमम्‌ । अनतिक्रमणीया सा कृत्स्नौलेकैस्त्रिभि: सदा

Bhīṣma uvāca: kāmyayā pṛṣṭavāṁs tvaṁ māṁ tato vyākhyātam uttamam | anatikramaṇīyā sā kṛtsnair lokais tribhiḥ sadā ||

تم نے جاننے کی خواہش سے مجھ سے یہ بات پوچھی تھی، اس لیے میں نے اسے اچھی طرح اور پوری طرح بیان کر دیا۔ برہمن کی حکم کی خلاف ورزی تینوں لوکوں کے تمام جانداروں کے لیے بھی ہمیشہ ناقابلِ تجاوز ہے۔
