अभिवाद्याथ कौन्तेय: पितामहमरिंदम । द्वैपायनादीन वि्रांश्न तैश्न प्रत्यभिनन्दित:
abhivādyātha kaunteyaḥ pitāmaham ariṃdama | dvaipāyanādīn viprāṃś ca taiś ca pratyabhinanditaḥ ||
پھر دشمنوں کو دبانے والے کُنتی پُتر نے سب سے پہلے پِتامہ کو پرنام کیا۔ اس کے بعد ویاس وغیرہ برہمنوں کے آگے بھی سر جھکا کر سلام کیا؛ اور اُن سب نے دھرم کے مطابق کلمات سے اس کا استقبال اور تحسین کی۔
