स्वदेशे परदेशे वाप्यतिथिं नोपवासयेत् । कर्म वै सफल कृत्वा गुरूणां प्रतिपादयेत्
Bhīṣma uvāca | svadeśe paradeśe vāpy atithiṁ nopavāsayet | karma vai saphalaṁ kṛtvā gurūṇāṁ pratipādayet ||
بھیشم نے کہا—اپنے ملک میں ہو یا پردیس میں، کسی مہمان کو بھوکا نہ رہنے دے۔ اور بزرگوں یا استادوں نے جس کام کا حکم دیا ہو، اسے کامیابی سے پورا کرکے ادب کے ساتھ انہیں اطلاع دے۔
