Shloka 11

तत्कथं वै नाद्रियेयमी श्वरोडस्मीति पुत्रक । मा ते मन्युर्महाबाहो भवत्वत्र द्विजान्‌ प्रति

tat kathaṃ vai nādriyeyam īśvaro ’smi iti putraka | mā te manyur mahābāho bhavatv atra dvijān prati ||

اے بیٹے! پھر میں یہ سوچ کر کہ ‘میں ہی رب ہوں، سب کچھ کرنے پر قادر ہوں’ برہمنوں کی تعظیم کیسے نہ کروں؟ اے مہاباہو! یہاں دِوِجوں کے خلاف تیرے دل میں غضب نہ اٹھے۔

Educational Q&A

Even if one feels powerful or ‘capable like a lord’ (īśvaro ’smi), that is not a license to disregard Brahmins or dharmic authorities; anger toward the dvijas should be restrained, and reverence maintained as a matter of dharma.
