Shloka 35

एतत्‌ ते च्यवनस्यापि कर्म राजन्‌ प्रकीर्तितम्‌ । ब्रवीम्यहं ब्रूहि वा त्वं क्षत्रियं ब्राह्मणाद्‌ वरम्‌,नरेश्वर! यह तुमसे च्यवन मुनिका महान्‌ कर्म भी बताया गया। मैं कहता हूँ--ब्राह्मण श्रेष्ठ हैं अथवा तुम, बताओ कौन-सा क्षत्रिय ब्राह्मणसे श्रेष्ठ है?

etat te cyavanasyāpi karma rājan prakīrtitam | bravīmy ahaṃ brūhi vā tvaṃ kṣatriyaṃ brāhmaṇād varam, nareśvara ||

اے راجَن! میں نے تم سے چَیَوَن مُنی کے اُس مشہور عظیم کارنامے کا بھی بیان کر دیا۔ اب میں کہتا ہوں—یا تم ہی جواب دو: اے نرَیشور! بتاؤ، کون سا کشتریہ برہمن سے برتر ہے؟
