अथागम्य महाराज नमस्कृत्य च कश्यपम् | पृथिवी काश्यपी जज्ञे सुता तस्य महात्मन:
athāgamya mahārāja namaskṛtya ca kaśyapam | pṛthivī kāśyapī jajñe sutā tasya mahātmanaḥ ||
اے مہاراج! پھر زمین برہملوک سے لوٹ آئی اور اُس مہاتما کشیپ کو سجدۂ تعظیم کرکے اُن کی بیٹی بن کر رہنے لگی۔ اسی وقت سے اس کا نام کاشیپی پڑ گیا۔
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic humility and proper relationship: even the Earth is portrayed as honouring a worthy sage through reverence (namaskāra) and accepting a rightful identity (as Kaśyapa’s daughter), suggesting that stability and legitimacy arise from respect for spiritual authority and cosmic order.
Arjuna narrates that the Earth returns, bows to the sage Kaśyapa, and becomes his daughter; consequently she receives the epithet ‘Kāśyapī,’ indicating her association with Kaśyapa.
