अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
उपमन्युरुवाच एतान् दत्त्वा वरान् देवो वन्द्यमान: सुरभि: | स्तूयमानश्व विबुधैस्तत्रैवान्तरधीयत
Upamanyur uvāca: etān dattvā varān devo vandyamānaḥ surabhiḥ | stūyamānaś ca vibudhais tatraivāntaradhīyata ||
اُپمنیو نے کہا—سُرَبھی کے ہاتھوں معبود مانے گئے اور دیوتاؤں کی ستائش پاتے ہوئے دیوادھیدیو نے یہ ور عطا کیے اور اسی مقام پر غائب ہو گئے۔
