महतकश्नू्णितान् पश्य ये हासन्त महोदधिम् | सुवर्णधारिणा नित्यमवशप्ता द्विजातिना
mahataḥ kṣṇūṇitān paśya ye hāsanta mahodadhim | suvarṇadhāriṇā nityam avaśaptā dvijātinā ||
ارجن نے کہا—دیکھو، یہ عظیم زورآور اب راکھ کے ڈھیر بن گئے ہیں؛ جو کبھی بحرِ عظیم کو بھی حقیر سمجھتے تھے۔ سنہری رنگ کے حامل، ہمیشہ تپسیا میں رَت، دو بار جنم لینے والے مہارشی کپل کے اٹل شاپ سے یہ جل کر خاک ہوئے۔ یہ سگر کے بیٹے ہیں، جو یَجْن کے گھوڑے کی تلاش میں سمندر تک آئے تھے؛ اب یہاں راکھ کے تودوں کی صورت پڑے ہیں۔
