विस्तार: स्थावरस्थाणु: प्रमाणं बीजमव्ययम् । अर्थोडनर्थो महाकोशो महाभोगो महाधन:
vistāraḥ sthāvarasthāṇuḥ pramāṇaṃ bījam avyayam | artho 'nartho mahākośo mahābhogo mahādhanaḥ ||
بھیشم نے کہا—وہی ہمہ گیر وسعت ہے؛ ہر ثابت و غیر متحرک شے کا قائم رکھنے والا سہارا۔ وہی علم کا معیارِ حق ہے اور عالم کا لازوال بیج-سبب۔ وہی مطلوب ‘اَرتھ’ ہے کہ وہی سرور و سعادت کی صورت ہے، اور وہی ‘اَنرتھ’ بھی—یعنی بےنیاز—کہ وہ کامل و تمام ہے۔ وہ عظیم خزانے کا مالک، اعلیٰ ترین حقیقی لذت کا بھوگتا، اور خود ہی برترین دولت ہے۔
