Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
जयो योगी युगान्ताभ: सव्यसाची रणाग्रग: । तेजसा हतवान् सर्व सुयोधनबलं नूप
bhīṣma uvāca | jayo yogī yugāntābhaḥ savyasācī raṇāgragaḥ | tejasā hatavān sarvaṃ suyodhanabalaṃ nṛpa |
بھیشم نے کہا— ارجن فاتح ہے؛ یوگ کی مہارت سے آراستہ، اور یُگ کے اختتام کی آگ کی مانند شعلہ زن۔ وہ سَویَساچی ہے—بائیں ہاتھ سے بھی تیر چلا سکتا ہے—اور میدانِ جنگ میں سب سے آگے رہتا ہے۔ اے راجا! اپنے ہی تیز و پرाकرم کے زور سے اس نے سویودھن (دُریودھن) کے پورے لشکر کو نیست و نابود کر دیا ہے۔
