Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)

दिवि वा भुवि वा देव सर्व हि विदितं तव । “भगवन्‌! इसीलिये आपके रहते हुए भी हम अपने ओछेपनके कारण प्रलाप करते हैं ->छोटे मुँह बड़ी बात कर रहे हैं। देव! पृथ्वीपर या स्वर्गमें कोई भी ऐसी आश्वर्यकी बात नहीं है

divi vā bhuvi vā deva sarva hi viditaṃ tava |

اے دیو! آسمان میں ہو یا زمین پر—سب کچھ یقیناً آپ کو معلوم ہے۔ زمین پر یا دیوی لوکوں میں کوئی ایسا عجوبہ نہیں جو آپ کے علم سے باہر ہو؛ آپ کو سب کچھ معلوم ہے۔
