जात्यन्धाक्षापरे देव रोगार्ताश्षापरे तथा । नरा: क्लीबाश्व दृश्यन्ते कारणं ब्रूहि तत्र वै,देव! कुछ लोग जन्मान्ध, कुछ रोगसे पीड़ित और कितने ही नपुंसक देखे जाते हैं। इसका क्या कारण है? यह मुझे बताइये

jātyandhāḥ śāpāpare deva rogārtāḥ śāpāpare tathā | narāḥ klībāś ca dṛśyante kāraṇaṁ brūhi tatra vai, deva ||

اے دیو! بعض لوگ پیدائشی اندھے، بعض بیماری سے نڈھال، اور بعض نامرد دکھائی دیتے ہیں۔ اِن حالتوں کے پیچھے حقیقی سبب مجھے بتائیے۔
