Educational Q&A

A householder Brahmin should maintain daily Vedic recitation and scriptural self-study as a sacred duty, and should not commercialize learning by making study itself a tool for earning.

In Anuśāsana Parva’s instruction on dharma, Śrī Maheśvara lays down a rule of conduct for the gṛhastha-brāhmaṇa: steady daily study at home, coupled with ethical restraint regarding livelihood.
