न चैकत्र समासक्तो न चैकग्रामगोचर: । मुक्तो हाटति निर्मुक्तो न चैकपुलिनेशय:
na caikatra samāsakto na caikagrāmago caraḥ | mukto hāṭati nirmukto na caikapulineśayaḥ ||
سنیاسی نہ کسی ایک جگہ سے چمٹا رہے، نہ اپنی زندگی کو صرف ایک ہی گاؤں تک محدود کرے، اور نہ ہمیشہ ایک ہی دریا کے کنارے سوئے۔ وہ ہر طرح کی وابستگیوں سے آزاد، پوری طرح رہاہوا ہو کر اپنی مرضی سے—بےقید، خودضابطہ اور بےتعلق—بھٹکتا رہے۔
