वचनीयस्य यो भुड्क्ते तमाहु: शोणितं हृदम्‌ । पिशुनं भोजन भुड्धक्ते ब्रह्म॒हत्यासमं विदु:

Transliteration

vacanīyasya yo bhuṅkte tam āhuḥ śoṇita-kuṇḍaṃ hṛdam | piśunaṃ bhojanaṃ bhuṅkte brahma-hatyā-samaṃ viduḥ |

Translation

بھیشم نے کہا—جو کسی بدنام اور داغدار آدمی کا کھانا کھاتا ہے، اسے ‘خون کے کنڈ جیسا دل رکھنے والا’ کہا گیا ہے۔ اور جو چغل خور (پِشُن) کے گھر کھانا کھائے، اس کا وہ کھانا برہمن کے قتل (برہماہتیا) کے برابر گناہ سمجھا جاتا ہے۔ اس لیے بے ادبی اور تحقیر کے ساتھ دیا ہوا کھانا کبھی قبول نہ کرنا چاہیے۔
