Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

नास्ति पुत्र पयो5रण्ये सुरभीगोत्रवर्जिते

nāsti putra payo 'raṇye surabhī-gotra-varjite |

واسودیو نے کہا—“بیٹے! یہ جنگل سُرَبھی کی نسل سے خالی ہے، اس لیے یہاں دودھ بالکل نہیں—یہاں گائیں نہیں ہیں۔ لہٰذا ندیوں، غاروں، پہاڑوں اور طرح طرح کے تیرتھوں میں تپسیا اور منتر-جپ میں لگے ہوئے ہم رِشی مُنیوں کے لیے پرم آسرا صرف بھگوان شَنکر ہی ہیں۔”
