असम्भाष्या भवन्त्येते पितृणां नाज संशय: । देवता: पितरश्रैषां नाभिनन्दन्ति तद्धवि:,ये पितरोंकी दृष्टिमें बात करनेयोग्य नहीं रह जाते हैं, इसमें संशय नहीं है और देवता तथा पितर उसके हविष्यको आदर नहीं देते हैं

asambhāṣyā bhavanty ete pitṝṇāṃ nātra saṃśayaḥ | devatāḥ pitaraś caiva nābhinandanti tad haviḥ ||

لومش نے کہا—اس میں کوئی شک نہیں کہ ایسے لوگ پِتروں کی نگاہ میں قابلِ خطاب نہیں رہتے۔ دیوتا اور پِتر اُن کے پیش کیے ہوئے ہَوِس (نذر/قربانی) کو عزت کے ساتھ قبول نہیں کرتے۔
