पिण्डदास्तस्य हीयन्ते न च प्रीणाति वै पितृन् । धर्मने कहा--ब्राह्मण यदि राजाका कर्मचारी हो
piṇḍadās tasya hīyante na ca prīṇāti vai pitṝn |
دھرم نے کہا—ایسے نالائق (اپاتر) لوگوں کو پِنڈ دینے والے کا پُنّیہ گھٹ جاتا ہے اور پِتر بھی حقیقی طور پر تَسکین نہیں پاتے۔ اگر کوئی برہمن راجا کا ملازم ہو، اجرت لے کر گھنٹی بجانے کا کام کرتا ہو، دوسروں کی خدمت گزاری میں لگا ہو، گورکشا یا تجارت کو پیشہ بنائے، کاریگر یا نٹ ہو، دوست کا غدار ہو، وید نہ پڑھا ہو، یا شودر جاتی کی عورت کا شوہر ہو—تو ایسے لوگوں کو کسی طرح بھی دیوکارْیہ (یَجْن) اور پِترکارْیہ (شرادھ) کا اَنّ وغیرہ نہیں دینا چاہیے۔ جو انہیں پِنڈ یا اَنّ دیتے ہیں، ان کی گراوٹ ہوتی ہے اور ان کے پِتر بھی تَسکین نہیں پاتے۔
