अल्पो5पि तादृशो दायो भवत्युत महाफल: । तृषिताय च ते दत्त हृदयेनानसूयता
alpo 'pi tādṛśo dāyo bhavaty uta mahāphalaḥ | tṛṣitāya ca te dattaṃ hṛdayenān asūyatā ||
ویاس نے کہا—“اس طرح قاعدۂ شاستر کے مطابق دیا ہوا تھوڑا سا دان بھی عظیم پھل دیتا ہے۔ تم نے حسد سے پاک دل کے ساتھ پیاسے مہمان کو اناج اور پانی دیا؛ اس لیے وہ معمولی دان بھی بے پایاں پُنّیہ کا سبب بن گیا۔”
