Educational Q&A

Bhishma emphasizes that he has given a concise outline of longevity-promoting conduct, and that any remaining details should be learned through respectful inquiry from authoritative Vedic experts—elders proficient in the three Vedas.

In the Anushasana Parva’s instruction sequence, Bhishma concludes a section on practices that support long life and directs Yudhishthira to consult learned Brahmins for any additional rules not covered in his summary.
