नहुषोपाख्यानम्—दीपदान-धूप-बलीकर्म-प्रशंसा

पतितो5पि महाराज भूतले स्मृतिमानभूत्‌ । प्रसादयामास भृगुं शापान्तो मे भवेदिति

patito 'pi mahārāja bhūtale smṛtimān abhūt | prasādayāmāsa bhṛguṁ śāpānto me bhaved iti ||

بھیشم نے کہا: “اے مہاراج! زمین پر گر پڑنے کے بعد بھی اس کی ہوش مندی قائم رہی۔ ‘میری لعنت کا خاتمہ ہو’ یہ سوچ کر اس نے بھِرگو کو راضی کرنے کی کوشش کی۔”
