उपदेशदोषप्रसङ्गः (Upadeśa-doṣa-prasaṅgaḥ) — The Risk of Misapplied Counsel

तस्मात्‌ सद्धि्न वक्तव्यं कस्यचित्‌ किंचिदग्रत: । सूक्ष्मा गतिर्ि धर्मस्य दुर्ज्ञेया ह्कृतात्मभि:,इसलिये सत्पुरुषोंको कभी किसीके सामने कोई उपदेश नहीं देना चाहिये; क्योंकि धर्मकी गति सूक्ष्म है। जिन्होंने अपने अन्तःकरणको शुद्ध एवं वशीभूत नहीं कर लिया है, उनके लिये धर्मकी गतिको समझना बहुत ही कठिन है

Transliteration

tasmāt saddhiṁ vaktavyaṁ kasyacit kiṁcid agrataḥ | sūkṣmā gatir hi dharmasya durjñeyā hy akṛtātmabhiḥ ||

Translation

پس سَتْپُرُوشوں کو چاہیے کہ کسی کے سامنے کسی کو بھی جلدبازی میں نصیحت نہ کریں؛ کیونکہ دھرم کی چال نہایت باریک ہے۔ جنہوں نے اپنے باطن کو پاک اور قابو میں نہیں کیا، ان کے لیے یہ جاننا بہت دشوار ہے کہ دھرم حقیقت میں کیا تقاضا کرتا ہے۔
