स हि सर्वस्य लोकस्य हितमात्मन एव च | चिकीर्षन् सुमहातेजा रेमे भरतसत्तम,भरतश्रेष्ठ! महातेजस्वी राजा युधिष्ठिर सब लोगोंका और अपना भी हित करनेकी चेष्टामें लगे रहकर सदा प्रसन्नतापूर्वक समय बिताते थे
sa hi sarvasya lokasya hitam ātmana eva ca | cikīrṣan sumahātejā reme bharatasattama ||
اے بھرت شریشٹھ! وہ عظیم الشان، صاحبِ جلال بادشاہ یُدھشٹھِر تمام جہان اور اپنی ذات کے بھلے کی کوشش میں لگا رہتا اور قناعت و مسرت کے ساتھ وقت گزارتا تھا۔ اس کی خوشی محض لذت میں نہیں، بلکہ مقصدِ صالح اور راہِ دھرم میں تھی۔
