स तत्र पीत्वा पानीयं स्नात्वा च भरतर्षभ । तेषामर्थे च जग्राह भ्रातृणां भ्रातृवत्सल: । उत्तरीयेण पानीयमानयामास भारत
sa tatra pītvā pānīyaṃ snātvā ca bharatarṣabha | teṣām arthe ca jagrāha bhrātṝṇāṃ bhrātṛvatsalaḥ || uttarīyeṇa pānīyam ānayāmāsa bhārata ||
اے بھرت شریشٹھ! وہاں پانی پی کر اور غسل کر کے، بھائیوں سے محبت رکھنے والے بھیم نے اُن کے لیے بھی پانی لیا اور اپنے اُتریے (چادر) میں بھر کر پانی لے آیا۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores dharma within family life: genuine affection is shown through service. Bhīma’s brotherly love is not merely emotional but expressed as responsible action—securing water for his brothers after attending to his own needs.
After drinking and bathing at a water source, Bhīma collects water for his brothers and carries it in his upper garment, while Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates the event to Janamejaya.
