द्रोण उदाच शीघ्र भवन्त: सर्वेडपि धनूंष्यादाय सर्वश: । भासमेतं समुद्दिश्य तिष्ठ ध्वं संधितेषव:,द्रोण बोले--तुम सब लोग इस गीधको बींधनेके लिये शीघ्र ही धनुष लेकर उसपर बाण चढ़ाकर खड़े हो जाओ
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: Droṇa uvāca—śīghraṁ bhavantaḥ sarve ’pi dhanūṁṣy ādāya sarvaśaḥ | bhāsam etaṁ samuddiśya tiṣṭhadhvaṁ sandhiteṣavaḥ ||
درون نے کہا—“جلدی کرو—تم سب اپنے اپنے کمان اٹھاؤ؛ تیر چڑھا کر اس گِدھ کو نشانہ بنا کر تیار کھڑے ہو جاؤ۔”
