अध्याय ९६: शरभ-प्रादुर्भावः, नृसिंह-दर्पशमनम्, विष्णोः शिवस्तुतिः, फलश्रुति

शिव ओवेर्चोमेस् विष्णु हरिस्तद्दर्शनादेव विनष्टबलविक्रमः बिभ्रद् और्म्यं सहस्रांशोर् अधः खद्योतविभ्रमम्

Śiva overcomes Viṣṇu haristaddarśanādeva vinaṣṭabalavikramaḥ bibhrad aurmyaṃ sahasrāṃśor adhaḥ khadyotavibhramam

شیو نے وِشنو پر بھی فوقیت پائی۔ ہری، اسی دیدار سے ہی، اپنی قوت اور شجاعت کھو بیٹھا؛ ہزار شعاعوں والے سورج کی روشنی گویا نیچے گر کر جگنو کی ٹمٹماہٹ بن گئی—ویسی ہی لرزتی مدھم چمک وہ لیے ہوئے تھا۔
