FAQs

This verse emphasizes sustained devotion to the supreme deity; it frames devotion as a decisive spiritual orientation that influences one’s post-death condition and associations.

It speaks in terms of attaining a ‘sāmya’ (similarity/equality of state) with a named power (Nirṛti), implying that the soul’s condition can be described by the realm/quality it becomes aligned with, based on inner disposition and conduct.

Maintain consistent devotion and ethical discipline, and be mindful of one’s speech and companionship—since associations and habitual dispositions are portrayed as spiritually consequential.
