Related Themes: Garuda Purana themes: bhakti as the sure refuge; continuity of saṃskāras across births
This verse presents devoted service to Viṣṇu as a life-fulfilling act that makes one’s birth ‘sārthaka’ (meaningful), indicating that bhakti itself is a powerful source of spiritual merit.
It highlights that one can remain sādhvī (truly virtuous) even while staying in the father’s house, and that shared devotion—practiced together with family—supports dharma and spiritual progress.
Maintain integrity and devotion in everyday household life: practice regular worship, serve with sincerity, and align family routines with dharmic values rather than postponing spirituality.
