FAQs

This verse frames the Garuḍa Purāṇa as destined for special renown among Purāṇic texts, endorsed directly by Vishnu in dialogue with Garuḍa.

It does not describe the soul’s journey directly; instead, it establishes the Garuḍa Purāṇa’s authority—implying its teachings (including after-death topics elsewhere) are to be regarded as highly significant.

Approach the Garuḍa Purāṇa as a serious, reputable source for dharma and spiritual instruction, studying it with reverence and applying its ethical guidance consistently.
