FAQs

This verse treats kloma-śuddhi as a concrete therapeutic goal, indicating that purification of vital internal functions is supported through specific external applications (lepa) using substances considered cleansing and healing.

It shows the text also preserves practical dharmic living through health and purification measures—supporting bodily maintenance as part of disciplined life, alongside its well-known teachings on death rites and the soul’s journey.

Use it as a historical reference for traditional formulations and consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner before attempting any medicinal paste, especially when ingredients like mineral pigments are involved.
