Vedantic Theme: Īśvara as source of knowledge that alleviates duḥkha; sattvic maintenance of indriyas for sādhana.
Application: Mix śobhāñjana (moringa) leaf-juice with honey and apply to the eyes as directed for eye-disease relief (per the verse).
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.176 (medical section immediately preceding); Garuda Purana 1.177 (chapter opening; likely continues ophthalmic remedies)
It recommends śobhāñjana (moringa) leaf juice mixed with honey, used as an eye application, as a disease-removing remedy.
Alongside afterlife and dharma topics, the text also preserves practical guidance—here, a simple therapeutic formulation attributed to Hari’s instruction.
Treat it as a traditional reference: consult a qualified practitioner before applying substances to the eyes, while appreciating the text’s emphasis on accessible, natural remedies.
