چشمے کا پانی لذیذ، ہاضمے کی آگ کو بڑھانے والا، خشک، کَف کو دور کرنے والا اور ہلکا ہوتا ہے۔ کنویں کا پانی ہاضمہ بڑھاتا ہے مگر پِتّہ بڑھاتا؛ اور زمین سے خود اُبلنے والا پانی پِتّہ کو شانت کرنے والا کہا گیا ہے۔
