agnighātādaśuddheśca nṛṇāmasṛji dūṣite / vātalaiḥ śītalairvāyurvṛddhaḥ kruddho vimārgagaḥ
Dhanvantari
Dosha: Vata
Concept: Guarding agni and purity prevents doṣic derangement; disorder arises from incompatible, cold, vāta-aggravating causes.
Vedantic Theme: Deha as upādhi: imbalance in guṇas/doṣas obscures clarity; discipline sustains sattva for higher pursuits.
Application: Maintain digestive fire (agni) through appropriate diet, warmth, regularity; avoid excessive cold, dryness, fasting/overexertion that aggravate vāta; prioritize cleanliness and wholesome conduct.
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka

When agni is impaired, blood becomes vitiated; this sets the stage for vāyu to aggravate and move abnormally, producing disease.
It does not address the soul’s post-death route; it explains “path” in a physiological sense—vāyu moving through wrong bodily channels (vimārga-gamana).
Protect digestion, avoid excessive cold and vāta-aggravating foods, and address “impurity” through clean diet, routine, and timely correction of digestion.
