Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka

This verse teaches that when key people around a ruler become negligent—driven by uncontrolled senses and lack of alertness—governance collapses, so stability depends on disciplined, wakeful faculties.
It does not directly describe the after-death journey; instead it frames a dharmic principle: sense-control and attentiveness are essential for right action, which in turn shapes one’s karma and future states.
For leaders and teams: cultivate discipline, sobriety, and accountability—when advisors and institutions become complacent or pleasure-driven, long-term success and legitimacy erode.
