Arjuna Marries Subhadrā; Kṛṣṇa Honors Two Devotees in Mithilā (Śrutadeva and Bahulāśva)
सोऽपश्यत्तत्र महतीं कन्यां वीरमनोहराम् । प्रीत्युत्फुल्लेक्षणस्तस्यां भावक्षुब्धं मनो दधे ॥ ६ ॥
so ’paśyat tatra mahatīṁ kanyāṁ vīra-mano-harām prīty-utphullekṣaṇas tasyāṁ bhāva-kṣubdhaṁ mano dadhe
وہاں اس نے بہادروں کو مسحور کرنے والی عظیم کنواری سُبھدراؔ کو دیکھا۔ خوشی سے اس کی آنکھیں کھل اٹھیں اور اس کا دل جذبات سے مضطرب ہو کر اسی میں محو ہو گیا۔
The verse describes a man seeing an extraordinary maiden; delighted, his eyes brighten and his mind becomes emotionally stirred as he focuses on her—setting the scene for the unfolding relationship and events in the narrative.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating this section of the Tenth Canto to Mahārāja Parīkṣit.
