Śālva Attacks Dvārakā; Pradyumna Leads the Defense

Saubha-vimāna and Māyā-yuddha

tataḥ pravavṛte yuddhaṁ śālvānāṁ yadubhiḥ saha yathāsurāṇāṁ vibudhais tumulaṁ loma-harṣaṇam

FAQs

This verse says the war erupted fiercely between Śālva’s forces and the Yadus, so terrifying and thunderous that it resembled the legendary devas-versus-asuras conflict.

To convey the scale and intensity of the conflict: it was not an ordinary skirmish but a cosmic-level, hair-raising clash in which mighty powers confronted each other.

Even when life becomes “tumultuous,” a devotee remembers that the Lord’s protection of dharma continues; one should stay steady, take shelter of devotion, and act responsibly amid upheaval.
