Balarāma Humbles the Kurus and Rescues Sāmba
dṛṣṭvā kurūnāṁ dauḥśīlyaṁ śrutvāvācyāni cācyutaḥ avocat kopa-saṁrabdho duṣprekṣyaḥ prahasan muhuḥ
This verse shows that when leaders indulge in bad character and unfit words, the Lord responds decisively—highlighting that speech and conduct are central markers of dharma.
Because He witnessed their misconduct and heard their offensive, inappropriate statements; the narrative frames His anger as a reaction to adharma and insolence.
Guard one’s speech and character, and respond to wrongdoing firmly but with awareness—righteous indignation should serve dharma, not ego.
