Kṛṣṇa Teases Rukmiṇī; Her Devotional Reply and the Lord’s Assurance
अस्त्वम्बुजाक्ष मम ते चरणानुराग आत्मन् रतस्य मयि चानतिरिक्तदृष्टे: । यर्ह्यस्य वृद्धय उपात्तरजोऽतिमात्रो मामीक्षसे तदु ह न: परमानुकम्पा ॥ ४६ ॥
astv ambujākṣa mama te caraṇānurāga ātman ratasya mayi cānatirikta-dṛṣṭeḥ yarhy asya vṛddhaya upātta-rajo-’ti-mātro mām īkṣase tad u ha naḥ paramānukampā
اے کنول جیسی آنکھوں والے! اگرچہ آپ اپنی ذات میں مطمئن ہیں اور اس طرح شاذ و نادر ہی میری طرف توجہ دیتے ہیں، براہ کرم مجھے اپنے قدموں سے مستقل محبت کی نعمت عطا کریں۔ یہ تب ہوتا ہے جب آپ کائنات کو ظاہر کرنے کے لیے رجو گن کا غلبہ اختیار کرتے ہیں کہ آپ مجھ پر نظر ڈالتے ہیں، جو واقعی میرے لیے آپ کی سب سے بڑی رحمت ہے۔
In text 20 of this chapter Lord Kṛṣṇa stated, “Always satisfied within Ourselves, We care nothing for wives, children and wealth.” Here Rukmiṇī-devī humbly replies, “Yes, You take pleasure within Yourself and therefore rarely look at me.”
