Rukmiṇī-haraṇa Prelude
स चाश्वै: शैब्यसुग्रीवमेघपुष्पबलाहकै: । युक्तं रथमुपानीय तस्थौ प्राञ्जलिरग्रत: ॥ ५ ॥
sa cāśvaiḥ śaibya-sugrīva- meghapuṣpa-balāhakaiḥ yuktaṁ ratham upānīya tasthau prāñjalir agrataḥ
دارُک شَیبیہ، سُگریو، میگھ پُشپ اور بَلاہک نامی گھوڑوں سے جُتا ہوا رتھ لے آیا، پھر ہاتھ باندھ کر شری کرشن کے سامنے کھڑا ہو گیا۔
Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī quotes the following text of the Padma Purāṇa describing Lord Kṛṣṇa’s chariot horses:
This verse highlights seva in action—bringing Kṛṣṇa’s chariot and standing with folded hands—showing that devotion is expressed through attentive, humble service.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates this verse to Mahārāja Parīkṣit while describing the events leading to Rukmiṇī’s marriage with Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
