Kṛṣṇa Arrives at Kuṇḍina and Abducts Rukmiṇī
Rukmiṇī-haraṇa Prelude
prāptau śrutvā sva-duhitur udvāha-prekṣaṇotsukau abhyayāt tūrya-ghoṣeṇa rāma-kṛṣṇau samarhaṇaiḥ
This verse shows that when Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma arrived, they were welcomed with music and appropriate offerings—teaching that honoring the Lord and His devotees with respectful reception is a sacred duty.
They heard the Lords had arrived and, eager to witness their daughter’s marriage festivities, went forward to receive Them with ceremonial honors as esteemed guests.
Cultivate a culture of reverence—welcome saints, teachers, and guests warmly, and approach spiritual occasions with sincerity, preparation, and respectful offerings.
