Rāsa-līlā Begins; Divine Multiplication; Moral Doubt and Its Resolution
तत्रातिशुशुभे ताभिर्भगवान् देवकीसुत: । मध्ये मणीनां हैमानां महामरकतो यथा ॥ ६ ॥
tatrātiśuśubhe tābhir bhagavān devakī-sutaḥ madhye maṇīnāṁ haimānāṁ mahā-marakato yathā
وہاں اُن گوپیوں کے درمیان دیوکی سُت بھگوان شری کرشن نہایت درخشاں تھے، جیسے سونے کے زیورات کے بیچ ایک نفیس نیلم۔
Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura states that Devakī, besides being the name of Vasudeva’s wife, is also a name of mother Yaśodā, as stated in the Ādi Purāṇa: dve nāmnī nanda-bhāryāyā yaśodā devakīti ca. “The wife of Nanda has two names — Yaśodā and Devakī.”
It says Kṛṣṇa shone most brilliantly among the gopīs, compared to a magnificent emerald surrounded by golden jewels.
Śukadeva identifies Him as Devakī’s son to affirm that the same historical Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Lord performing divine līlā in Vraja.
See Kṛṣṇa as the true center of beauty and meaning; by keeping Him in the “middle” of one’s life, everything else becomes harmonized and spiritually luminous.
