Māyāmoha’s Delusion, Rejection of the Vedic Path, and the Fault of Heretical Association

Sage Parāśara (narrating to Maitreya)
This verse emphasizes that worship of Viṣṇu and related observances gain their full dharmic force when done according to scriptural injunction and proper order, aligning household life with cosmic and moral law.
By presenting a married couple completing all duties beginning with Viṣṇu’s worship, Parāśara shows bhakti expressed through disciplined, lawful practice rather than as an isolated act—devotion integrated into daily dharma.
Viṣṇu is treated as the supreme focus of auspicious action: rites ‘begin with’ His worship, implying that worldly order, merit, and sanctity are grounded in reverence to the highest Lord.
