विषप्रयोगः कृत्योत्पादनं च (प्रह्लादस्य अवध्यता, कृत्याविनाशः, पुरोहितानां रक्षणम्)
दह्यमानस् त्वम् अस्माभिर् अग्निना बाल रक्षितः भूयो न वक्ष्यसीत्य् एवं नैवं ज्ञातो ऽस्य् अबुद्धिमान्
dahyamānas tvam asmābhir agninā bāla rakṣitaḥ bhūyo na vakṣyasīty evaṃ naivaṃ jñāto 'sy abuddhimān
“Kahit sinusunog ka ng apoy na aming itinaas, bata, ikaw ay napangalagaan. Sa pag-aakalang ‘ngayon ay hindi ka na muling magsasalita,’ hindi naunawaan ng hangal na iyon ang katotohanan ng nangyari.”
Sage Parāśara (narrating to Maitreya)
This verse highlights that even destructive elements like fire cannot harm one who is protected by the Supreme Lord’s will; persecution fails when dharma is upheld and the devotee is under divine guardianship.
Parāśara frames the persecutor as abuddhimān—unable to interpret events spiritually—mistaking survival as chance rather than recognizing the higher protection operating through (and beyond) natural forces.
Even when not explicitly named, the verse implies Vishnu’s supreme sovereignty: the elements act within cosmic order, and the devotee’s safety ultimately rests in the Supreme Reality who preserves dharma.
