Type: temple
Listener: dvija-uttama
Scene: Bhagavān declares he will enter and abide within the brāhmaṇa’s liṅga for one day; the liṅga stands adorned with bilva leaves, garlands, and a dripping abhiṣeka pot.
A liṅga becomes exceptionally potent when the Lord explicitly promises to abide there, validating the site’s sanctity.
The liṅga and associated tīrtha of Nāgara Khaṇḍa, Adhyāya 209, where Śiva promises special presence.
The verse implies a consecratory moment—Śiva’s saṁkramaṇa into the liṅga—forming the basis for later worship and pilgrimage merit.
