Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadashiva
Sthala Purana: A paradigmatic liṅga-māhātmya: the liṅga’s ‘mahābala-prabhāva’ grants Śivaloka even to a Caṇḍālī who performs sincere worship—illustrating Śiva’s grace overriding social stigma.
Significance: Promises swift salvific fruit (Śivaloka-prāpti) through liṅga-pūjā with sincerity; underscores anugraha as the decisive factor.
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that Śiva’s grace, accessed through sincere Liṅga-pūjā, transcends social identity and purifies the soul, granting the highest destiny—attainment of Śivaloka.
The Liṅga is a saguna support for devotion through which the devotee approaches the nirguna-tattva of Śiva; this verse highlights that complete worship of the Liṅga becomes a direct means to Śiva’s abode.
Perform simple, wholehearted Liṅga-pūjā—offering water and flowers with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”)—with single-pointed devotion.
