It shows the Shaiva ideal that true bhakti culminates in Veda-aligned praise: the Goddess responds to Śiva’s teaching by worship through stotra that carries the Vedic purport, pointing devotion toward the highest truth of Pati (Śiva).
The verse models Saguna worship—praising Mahādeva with hymns—while grounding that praise in the Vedas, which in Shaiva Siddhanta supports worship of Śiva (including Linga-upāsanā) as the supreme Lord revealed through scripture and devotion.
Stotra-pāṭha (recitation of hymns) as a devotional practice—ideally with understanding of the Vedic meaning—can be paired with japa of Śiva’s names (such as the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) as a focused meditative offering.
