Description of Śiva Meditation and Worship
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Ardhanārīśvara
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It teaches that the perceived distinction between Śiva and Pārvatī is ultimately only nominal—like grammatical gender—while the underlying reality is non-separate Shiva–Shakti, guiding the devotee toward right knowledge (jñāna) alongside bhakti.
Liṅga worship points to the one Pati (Śiva) who is worshipped with Śakti as inseparable power; this verse supports seeing saguna forms and names as devotional supports while understanding the unity behind them.
Meditate on the inseparability of Śiva and Śakti while reciting the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), letting name/form distinctions settle into inner unity; this complements standard Shaiva practices like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as aids to steady devotion.
