शिखोपवीते संत्यज्य कटिसूत्रादिकं ततः । विसृज्य प्राङ्मुखो गच्छेदुत्तराशामुखोपि वा
śikhopavīte saṃtyajya kaṭisūtrādikaṃ tataḥ | visṛjya prāṅmukho gaccheduttarāśāmukhopi vā
Matapos isantabi ang tuktok na buhol ng buhok (śikhā) at ang banal na sinulid (yajñopavīta), at saka itapon din ang tali sa baywang at mga kaugnay na tanda, dapat siyang magpatuloy—nakaharap sa silangan, o kaya’y nakaharap sa hilaga—ayon sa itinakdang pagtalima sa Śaiva.
