Battle with the Sons of the Ministers
तलेनाभ्यहनत्कांश्चित्पादैः कांश्चित्परन्तपः।मुष्टिनाभ्यहनत्कांश्चिन्नखैः कांश्चिद्व्यदारयत्।।।।
talenābhyahanat kāṃścit pādaiḥ kāṃścit parantapaḥ | muṣṭinābhyahanat kāṃścin nakhaiḥ kāṃścid vyadārayat ||
Ang tagapagpahirap sa mga kaaway ay humampas sa ilan sa pamamagitan ng palad, sa ilan sa pamamagitan ng mga paa, sa ilan sa pamamagitan ng kamao, at ang iba’y pinilas ng kaniyang mga kuko.
The scorcher of enemies, Hanuman hit some ogres with his palm, some with his feet and some with his fist and pierced some with his nails.
Dharma can require force against aggressors; the verse frames Hanuman’s violence as mission-bound and directed at those obstructing justice, not as cruelty for its own sake.
